The US delegation seeks to strengthen international ties and strategic partnerships and create new job opportunities in New Jersey by attracting more Gulf investments in several sectors, including industry, technology, financial services, and life sciences. Relations between New Jersey and the Gulf states have evolved over the past 20 years, with the state signing several agreements and memoranda of understanding with the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain, including a fintech MOU with the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2019 and a bilateral investment agreement with the UAE in 2021. The state also opened an office for its International Financial Center in the Dubai International Financial Center in 2021. As for the state's activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the state sponsored a planning conference last year, which discussed several topics related to governance, family offices, and key future issues and trends.
